6-Day Wildlife Safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Other

At 7 am after breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by your safari guide and driven to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy the wildlife! It’s time to head to Tarangire! During the 2.5-hour drive, you will enjoy the view of beautiful nature, landscapes, and local communities. We’ll do a full-day game drive in Tarangire which is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. At the end of the day, we will leave Tarangire behind and head to Karatu town to the lodge for rest and dinner.

We will have an early morning departure from your lodge. You will be met by your driver guide for briefing and immediately our experienced driver guides will drive you to Central Serengeti. We will leave Karatu village and enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we will proceed to cross Ngorongoro Highlands until the Serengeti gate. Here we will start the game drive for two nights.
The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, "endless plains". The park has 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes. As for Big Cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous river crossings having been filmed in this park.

You will spend a full day in these endless plains, exploring the park, its animals, and its incredible landscapes. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, you may see predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions. After further exploration of the park, you will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will head out for an en-route game drive through the Serengeti. You might be able to spot animals on your way to Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO world heritage site formed millions of years ago, is 600m deep and covers roughly 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. You will arrive at the Crater rim before lunch and pay a visit to one of the famous Maasai bomas, where you'll have the opportunity to witness (and participate in) traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic Maasai village, and even do a little souvenir shopping at the local market. After having a picnic lunch which will be carried from your accommodation in Serengeti. In the late evening drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Today we will wake up early in the morning and after breakfast, we will drive into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. The crater life is estimated at 30,000 large mammals. Due to its natural borders, there is an abundance of wildlife throughout the conservation area which is home to the Big Five including the African black rhino as well as hyena, zebra, and elephants to name a few. Your overnight stay will be at the Lodge, a beautiful lodge.

After breakfast, depart with a hamper lunch, and start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a half-day game drive. Although small in dimension (205 sq. miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and is well famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs, and mahogany trees, as well as a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park also include giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a huge number of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that can not be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background.
We will do a game drive in Lake Manyara all day and in the afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha where you will be transferred to KIA for your outbound flight.
