Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel (approximately 45 minutes drive) for your overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
Arusha is a city in East Africa's Tanzania, located at the base of volcanic Mt. Meru. It's a gateway to safari destinations and to Africa's highest peak, 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro, lying some 100 kilometers northeast. To the west lies Serengeti National Park, home to wildlife including lions, rhinoceros, giraffes, and leopards. The annual migrations feature huge herds of wildebeests crossing its plains.

After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes; bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards and rarely cheetahs. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife while in the truck. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park which includes a delicious lunch & soft drink. After a full day in the park, you will drive to your accommodation where you will be able to relax and enjoy dinner and overnight.

Today we will wake up early in the morning and after breakfast, we will drive into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. Later in the evening you will transit through NCA to the Serengeti, entering at the South of the park.
Due to its natural borders, wildlife is abundant throughout the conservation area which is home to the Big Five. The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2.000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah's ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It's one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the Black Rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It's also famous for its elephants which, are the largest in the world and have huge tusks.

On this day we suggest a very early wake up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. After the game drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding brunch, and then we'll proceed to Karatu via the Ngorongoro conservation area.

After breakfast at the lodge, with a packed lunch drive to Lake Manyara for game viewing.
Lake Manyara opens up into woodland, grassland, swamps and the soda lake itself, where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork can be viewed. At the southern end of the park are hot sulphur springs called Maji Moto. Manyara is noted for its numerous buffalos, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, as well as a great variety of smaller animals, and the very elusive tree-climbing lions.
You will drive back to Arusha for your onward destination to either the Zanzibar option or back home, we will work on your plan according to your update as you share with us. You will also have enough time for shopping for gratuities. There are a lot of shops for coffee and Tanzanite gems that you can purchase as a gift to your family members back home.
