12-Day Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti NP, Tarangire NP & Zanzibar Mid-Range Tour

Your exciting safari starts here! After a well-served breakfast in Arusha, you will start your safari heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, you will descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Ngorongoro is the best place to see the endangered black rhinoceros. It is home to all of the Big Five and a good place to see lions, herds of wildebeest and zebra, the elusive caracal, and Cape buffalo year-round. Lunch will be served at the picnic site.
After a day well spent, you will head back to Karatu to your accommodation for evening leisure, dinner, and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will leave Karatu village and enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We'll proceed to cross Ngorongoro Highlands until the Serengeti gate. Here we will start the game drive for these days.
Serengeti Park is the most famous park of all in Africa. It is more than 15,000 square kilometers of savannah full of lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, and many other wild animals.
After game drives, we will drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

As you proceed with your safari, these days are dedicated to game drives in the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. This is wild Africa – with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. As for big cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and many more animals.
This part of the Serengeti has a good number of resident games throughout the year. Non-migrating games like elephant, buffalo, gazelle, zebra, lion, leopard, and cheetah can be seen here all year round. Dinner and overnight will be at the Lodge.

You will spend one more day in the Serengeti before making your way to Karatu through the Ngorongoro conservation area in the late afternoon. You will overnight at a beautiful lodge in Karatu. The lounge area and dining room have the fun, rustic feeling of a tree house. Relax at the pool or dive!

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire, Tanzania's third-largest national park and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. Enjoy the game drive with a picnic lunch. Return for dinner and overnight at your accommodation at Maramboi Tented Lodge.

This day you will have a full-day game drive that will give you more chances to explore many areas of this great national park that has a good and high concentration of elephant population in Tarangire River where they get water, especially during the dry season, the huge baobab trees will be also one of the best highlights as this is one of the areas that this type of trees grow very big in the northern part of the country. You will also have a chance to drive along the Silale swamp for bird sightings and a chance to see the cats/carnivores around this area that wait for the animals to come and feed on grass and drink water. After exploring this park, you will drive straight to your accommodation inside the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Arusha Airport with a picnic lunch, for your air transfer to Zanzibar departing at 1:15 pm. You'll be arriving in Zanzibar at 2:35 pm. On arrival, you are met by our representative and then transferred to your hotel in Stone Town. After checking in and freshening up, you will depart for a 2-hour Stone Town tour, a walking tour where you will be going through the narrow streets of Zanzibar. See how the locals live and also learn about the slave trade history and the excellent architecture of Zanzibar. You are then guided back to your hotel. Your overnight stay is at Stone Town

After breakfast, check out and depart for the half-day Prison Island tour where you will learn about the island and look at the giant tortoises that are 150 years old and above. After the tour, you are brought back to shore and then you are transferred to your beach hotel. Located on the South East coast of Zanzibar Island, is a lively village surrounded by some of Zanzibar's most beautiful beaches. At the time of your choice, you will transfer to this location. Once a sleepy fishing village, it is now a popular island destination full of life. It is also one of the only places from where you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the ocean. You can take some rest and enjoy this paradise made of beautiful beaches of white sand and turquoise water of the Indian Ocean

After breakfast, spend another full day at leisure in Zanzibar beach which is particularly stunning at high tides during the daytime when you can see the colors shine. The beaches in front of the big resorts are stunning. The beach is full of fluffy white sand as well as stunning rock formations throughout the beach.

After breakfast, spend another full day at leisure on South East coast of Zanzibar Island. This is because the low and high tides in the area aren’t as extreme and there is a much higher concentration of sand vs seaweed and coral which is more prevalent on the eastern side. is particularly stunning at high tides during the daytime when you can see the colors shine.
