Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire
After a short briefing in the morning, you will head off in direction of the Tarangire National Park at 8am with picnic lunch for 3 hours. The park with its Savannah, baobab trees, seasonal swamps and lagoons is home to huge elephant herds. Animals gather at the life-giving Tarangire River and you should see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffes, bushbucks and hartebeests to the weird-looking gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. Take your lunch in afternoon and proceed with game drive. In the late afternoon you will arrive at Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2 Tarangire to Serengeti
Early breakfast at the lodge in the morning with prepared parked launch, we then depart to Serengeti with Game drive across Ngorongoro crater. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, prides of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3 driving to Northern Serengeti game drive
After a breakfast in the morning we drive to Northern Serengeti with picnic launch this region offers a chance to escape the crowds: this region of the park – wedged between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north.. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.
Day 4 Northern Serengeti game drive full day
Early in the morning after breakfast we move to the park with picnic launch for the game drive.
This sector of the park is also home to the greatest concentration of elephant in the Serengeti, as well as good numbers of lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena and diverse resident animals such as giraffe, topi, eland and hippo Lying in the park’s north eastern corner, the remote Lobo Valley is a particularly beautiful part of the park, encompassing open plains, rolling hills, dramatic kopjes and woodlands. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 5 from Northern to Central Serengeti
Early in the morning after breakfast we drive all the way to central Serengeti with picnic launch. The Central Serengeti, lying at the heart of this spectacular national park, is the most popular region in the reserve for its abundant wildlife, large numbers of big cats and quintessential Serengeti landscapes of acacia-studded savanna. Resident wildlife makes this part of the Serengeti a fantastic year-round destination, but the months of April to June and October to December, when the herds of the Great Migration pass through the area, are when it’s at its peak. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 6 central Serengeti to ngorongoro conservation area
With picnic lunch, and route game drives to Ngorongoro conservation area via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is one of the most important prehistoric and archaeological sites on Earth where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made discoveries on human origins, “The Cradle of Mankind”. After viewing the gorge and listening to an incredible interpretive presentation and a visit to a Maasai Village, you will carry on with your journey and arrive in Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 7 ngorongoro crater to karatu
Wake up early in the morning and descend down into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is such a unique safari destination, a veritable “Garden of Eden”. With a large concentration of animals and short grasslands, game viewing in the crater or more appropriately a caldera, is excellent as animals are everywhere! The caldera is reputed to contain the highest density of carnivores in the world, after game viewing we drive all the way from ngorongoro to katatu. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge
Day 8 Karatu to Lake Eyas
After breakfast drive to Lake Eyas and then visit Datoga tribe (Black Smith). Later afternoon drive to the lake for the greater sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge
Day 9 Lake eyas to Airport or Arusha
Wake up in the morning after breakfast we move from Lake Eyas all the way to airport for your flights or (stay in Arusha for that day). Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
