Day 1: Moshi
Arrive at the airport where you will be met by an Our staff and transferred to your hotel in Moshi.
Day 2: Arusha National Park
After breakfast, we will heard to Arusha, A full day of activities in Arusha National Park. This small park seldom appears on safari itineraries for Tanzania, which is a surprise as it is one of our favorites. At the center of the park is the beautiful Ngurdoto Crater, flanked by steep cliffs and home to an abundance of buffalo that roam the marshy ground found within.
Further, into the park, the Momella lakes are also scenic, with an abundant bird population as well as large populations of hippo and buffalo.
You will start the day with a short game drive, followed by a guided walking safari across the plains in the shadow of Mount Meru. Giraffe wanders past just a few meters away and herds of buffalo graze on the grasses.
From here continue to the Momella Lakes where you take a gentle canoe ride across the peaceful waters of the lake, stopping to learn about the birds that you see along the way and perhaps catching a glimpse of a lumbering hippo.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
This morning drive to Tarangire where you will spend the night in a delightful Lodge with views towards Lake Manyara. The Lodge has possibly our favorite pool in Tanzania, on a deck overlooking the plains, with wildlife such as zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe coming almost right up to the edge.
Have a relaxing afternoon before heading out for a sunset walk across the plains in search of wildlife. Antelope, zebra, giraffe, and ostrich can all be found here and you can finish up by the campfire as the sun sets, at evening drive to your lodge for dinner and Overnight.
Day 4: Tarangire National Park to Mto wa Mbuu
A full day of game drives in Tarangire National Park. The park is cut through by the Tarangire River which proves a magnet for all manner of wildlife during the long dry season when the surrounding area becomes completely parched.
During the wet season, the wildlife is more scattered but you are still almost guaranteed sightings of Tarangire’s extensive elephant population. Large herds roam the riverbed whilst zebra, buffalo, gazelle, and wildebeest try to avoid the predatory advances of lion and leopard. There is also a remarkable profusion of birdlife as the Tarangire swamps are home to 550 bird varieties including many rare species.
Day 5: Mto Wa Mbu
After breakfast drive to the small village of Mto Wa Mbu, at the base of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Take a bike ride through the banana plantations, rice paddies, and small villages that surround the town. (Families with younger children can take a tuk-tuk ride instead).
You will also stop at the main produce market in Mto Wa Mbu and a local school. Creative children may enjoy a visit to an artists’ co-operative where you can try your hand at doing a traditional African painting on your own canvas.
Join a local family for a traditional Tanzanian lunch before driving on to Karatu for the night.
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
This lake is a scenic gem with a beautiful setting stretched by Ernest Hemingway and it’s the loveliest I had seen in Africa. Just from the entrance gate, the road passes through the expanse of lush jungle-like water forest where the baboon troops lounge along the roadside, there are also the blue monkeys, dainty bushbuck, forest hornbill honk, and many more. You will do a game drive in the morning followed by a picnic lunch and in the afternoon; we shall continue with this game drive and reach the Lodge late evening.
Day 7: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Early breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we then depart to Serengeti with Game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions, and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards. Day 8: Explore Northern Serengeti National Park
Today you continue your safari in the Serengeti national park. Its stunning landscape can be seen in some of the most impressive nature documentaries.
The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti.
Together with your private guide, you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.
If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.
Serengeti National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and after depart for a game safari before sunrise. , you will have an excursion in the wilds of these endless plains for a full day in the park. You will have a picnic lunch and take time exploring the site heritage, where you will view the greatest concentration of wildlife savannah wanders freely. You will drive back to the lodge.
Day 10: Explore Central Serengeti National Park
We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest.
We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top, we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti.
This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and it you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of the interesting birdlife, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. Day 11: Serengeti National Park Full Day
The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park, this park is famous for its migration of the wildebeest and it has got a lot of wildlife abundance, the big cats such as Leopard, Cheetah and high concentration of lions and hyenas. Many other animals such as giraffe, zebra, impala, heart beast, buffalo, baboon, and a lot more concentration of wildlife and bird species in the park.
The areas that you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees), and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south.
During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return up north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. Every day later evening you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Full Day Serengeti
Today you will enjoy a full-day game drive at the famous Serengeti National Park in the rolling grasslands, dotted with wildlife for as far as the eye can see from giraffes to zebras, impalas, monkeys, and hippos. We will commence our journey in the early morning where we can capture an abundance of animals at sunrise. In the evening we drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area:
Early morning game drive at Serengeti. After breakfast will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and go for an afternoon Nature Walk (depending on weather conditions).
Escorted by a ranger or Maasai Guide you follow animal paths through dense. North-East of the Ngorongoro Crater lies the Empakaai Crater, Empakaai is about 6000m wide and 300m high.
Among other animals, you will see buffalo, bushbuck, a variety of antelope, and blue monkeys. Birds are in abundance. A deep soda lake covers a large part of the crater floor. There is a track to the crater-floor and one around the rim of the crater. On a nice, clear day, one can see Mt. Oldonyo Lengai, Lake Natron, and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The scenery is left to your imagination!! You will walk around the crater take some pictures of the beautiful crater with stunning views. Thereafter you will ascend to the top where you will meet your driver and drive to your accommodation from where you can witness the sunset over the crater
Day 14: Ngorongoro Crater
Today we will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for your crater tour. Here you we will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where we may see flamingos. We will also visit the open savannah where the lions hunt. Picnic lunch will be served in the crater. In the late afternoon, we make a short journey to Arusha. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 15: Arusha town
Today you will be transferred back to KIA International Airport in time for your international flight and onward travel.
